New Indoor Wellness Facility & Outdoor Enhancments
We’re excited to share major updates on our facility improvements! The construction contract has been awarded to H.G. Reynolds, Inc., and we are moving forward with a bold vision for the future of the Henderson Family YMCA.
Construction is scheduled to begin in late fall 2025, with project completion expected by late 2026.
These enhancements will create a modern, welcoming space that expands programs and improves access for all ages, ensuring the YMCA continues to serve the community for years to come.

As we begin the process of updating and refreshing our facility we want to keep you informed! Thank you for your continued patience as we all navigate through the excitement and challenges of construction.
Though the Henderson Family YMCA will stay OPEN during construction we would like to remind all members that that some areas may be temporarily closed or have limited access for your safety. We look forward to sharing the new 38,000-square-foot state-of-the-art center with you upon completion!

PARKING LOT LIGHTS: Currently out as part of renovation prep. (David is coordinating with Duke Energy.)
YMCA PARKING: The former Social Services lot is available for parking.
The Y will continue to provide updates to members regarding any construction-related designs and renovation plans once new information becomes available.
