The American Red Cross Lifeguarding course prepares entry-level participants with the essential skills needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to aquatic emergencies. This certification program also trains lifeguards to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel arrive.
The YMCA’s Safety Around Water program teaches children essential water safety skills that help prevent drowning and build confidence in and around the water.
