New Indoor Wellness Facility & Outdoor Enhancments
We’re excited to share some major updates on our facility improvements! The construction contract has been officially awarded to H.G. Reynolds, Inc., marking a significant step forward in the future of the Henderson Family YMCA.
A special thank-you to Henderson Vance Healthcare and the Triangle North Foundation. Their support, leadership, and dedication have made this progress possible.
Construction is scheduled to begin in late fall 2025, with project completion expected in 2027. These enhancements will create a modern, welcoming space that expands programs and improves access for all ages, ensuring the YMCA continues to serve the community for years to come.

As we begin the process of updating and refreshing our facility we want to keep you informed! Thank you for your continued patience as we all navigate through the excitement and challenges of construction.
Though the Henderson Family YMCA will stay OPEN during construction we would like to remind all members that that some areas may be temporarily closed or have limited access for your safety. We look forward to sharing the new 38,000-square-foot adult wellness center and 13,000-square-foot aquatics center with you upon completion!
These projects reflect our ongoing commitment to serve the community with high-quality wellness, youth, and family programs. We will continue to share updates as plans progress.

PARKING LOT LIGHTS: Currently out in the former Social Services lot as part of renovation prep. (David is coordinating with Duke Energy.)
YMCA PARKING: The former Social Services lot is available for parking.
The Y will continue to provide updates to members regarding any construction-related designs and renovation plans once new information becomes available.
