When school is out, YMCA Summer Day Camp is in! The Henderson Family YMCA offers high-quality programming that nurtures the whole child with a blend of social-emotional learning, friendship-building, and enrichment activities that promote physical and mental health. Our programs are led by qualified staff who undergo rigorous background checks, training for child abuse prevention and awareness, and maintain an active certification for CPR/AED and First Aid. Join us at the YMCA Summer Day Camp and let us help your child enjoy the perfect break from school!

Date and Time: June 9th - August 15th, 7:30am-6:00pm

Open House: May 28th and June 4th, 6:00pm-7:30pm

Registration: $30 one-time deposit or $10 per week deposit
Member and non-member (non-refundable & due at time of registration)
In-house and On-line ends, the Wednesday before each week of camp, at which time payments of remaining balances are drafted for the upcoming week of 2025. 

Weekly Cost: $133 members, $148 non-members

Eligibility: Aged 5 -12 years

Financial Assistance Available!

In an effort to include all children, the YMCA has a financial assistance program. This program uses a sliding fee scale for membership and child care which is based on need. For more information, please contact member services at 252-438-2144 or download and complete a financial assistance application and submit a copy to Member Services.

SDC was awarded a grant from Triangle North Healthcare Foundation. The mission of Triangle North Healthcare Foundation - to encourage, support, and invest in quality efforts that measurably improve health in the Triangle North area, is achieved through funding initiatives, programs, and projects of nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and schools. “Our grantees provide the boots on the ground, the expertise in the field, and the committed hearts and minds that will make our community a healthier place to be,” said Val Short, executive director. The Foundation’s community focus includes four counties in the region north of the Triangle– Franklin, Granville, Vance, and Warren counties.
